Day 1 - Welcome to Damascus

Transfer to the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel , offering legendary luxury in the heart of this ancient city. (D)

Day 2 - In-depth sightseeing in Damascus

Your afternoon tour through one of the world’s oldest cities features the Omayyad Mosque. With its distinctive three minarets, one is known as the Minaret of Jesus - so named because legend claims that this is where Jesus will appear on Judgment Day. Your in-depth sightseeing also visits the Sulayman Mosque, Azem Palace and St. Paul’s Chapel. (B,D)

Day 3 - A Crusader Castle and then on to Hama

Travel through the tranquil countryside to the village of Maaloula where Aramaic, the dialect of Jesus, is still spoken. Then visit the stunning Crac des Chevaliers, a hilltop castle built by the Crusaders in the 12th century and marvelously preserved. Continue to picturesque Hama on the lush banks of the Orontes River and check in to the first class Aphamia Cham Palace Hotel. (B,D)

Day 4 - Amazing sites of antiquity

This morning, join your guide to visit the 3rd century B.C. ruins of Aphamia and then observe the excavations in Ebla. Continue to Aleppo, Syria’s prettiest city, where you visit the bustling souks. Enjoy a leisurely 2-night stay at the deluxe Sheraton Aleppo Hotel. (B,D)

Day 5 - Explore Aleppo

Expertly guided sightseeing includes the Archaeological Museum, Grand Mosque and the Basilica of St. Simeon, where this early Christian demonstrated his faith by sitting atop a pillar for 36 years. (B,D)

Day 6 - On to Palmyra

Day 7 - Return to Damascus
