Day 1 – Welcome to Damascus

Day 2 – Explore the Old City
Your full-day tour includes Saladin Tomb, St. Paul Chapel and the bazaar. (B,D)
Day 3 – A Crusader Castle
Drive to the pilgrimage town of Seidnaya and continue to Maaloula, where ancient Aramaic is still spoken. Visit the Crac des Chevaliers, a perfectly preserved castle built by Crusaders. Drive to Hama and check in to the Orient House. (B,D)
Day 4 – Bara: Greatest of the Dead Cities
See the iconic water wheels of the Orontes River and the ancient ruins of Aphamia. Visit Bara, the largest of Syria’s famous Dead Cities – abandoned ruins that now comprise the world’s greatest collection of Byzantine architecture. Observe excavations in Ebla and continue to the Beit Marrash Hotel in Aleppo. (B,D)
Day 5 – The Dead City of Qalb Lozeh
Visit the beautiful 5th-century church in the Dead City of Qalb Lozeh and the great Basilica of St. Simeon. (B,D)
Day 6 – Aleppo

Day 7 – Onward to Palmyra
