Day 2 - Sunday - Cordoba - Sevilla
After breakfast we visit the famous Mosque - Cathedral - the crowning jewel of the city. The Great Mosque is one of the most relevant works of art of all times and has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Part of it was destroyed to make way for a cathedral, built over its centre, but you can still recapture the spirit of Al-Andalus as you wander through its forest of hundreds of delicate marble columns and double-tiered arches. Next is the Jewish Quarter which runs from the Mosque to the walls and the Almodovar Gate. It is made up of a network of narrow streets with whitewashed facades, adorned with tiles and grilles. Your tour continues with departure to Sevilla. The balance of the afternoon is at leisure. (L)

Day 7 - Friday - Valencia - Barcelona
Mid morning departure to Barcelona.
The cradle of many cultures and a witness to major transformations, Barcelona has a fascinating history.
The city itself was founded by the Romans who set up a colony called Barcino at the end of the 1st century BC.
For over 200 years, Barcelona was under Muslim rule followed by the Christian reconquest. You might be surprised that such a modern city preserves its historic Gothic center almost intact. Beside modern high-rises, you can find a quaint squares. (B)
Day 8 - Saturday - Barcelona
Today we visit the Park of Montjuic
overlooking the port, offering a plethora of green areas and gardens, museums and cultural attractions, sports facilities and Olympic sites. Next is the monument to Columbus which

This major landmark on the Rambla was built in 1888 for the Universal Exhibition as a tribute to Christopher Columbus, who chose to disembark in the port of Barcelona on his return from America. Our tour continues to the old Gothic Quarter which
brings to light the early Roman city of Barcino and the medieval town with its palazzos, mansions and Gothic churches. This is the style that defines “the heart of Barcelona”: a neighbourhood where the splendour of the historic past coexists with the vibrancy of the present. The balance of the afternoon at leisure. (B)
