Day 1 / Saturday / Arrive Sofia

Arrive in Sofia. You will be met at the Airport and transferred to the hotel. Plenty of time to relax before meeting your fellow travelers and tour director at the welcome dinner. (D)

Day 2 / Sunday / Sofia

Half day Sofia city tour. The highlights of the tour will be the visits to the National History Museum where the gold and silver Thracian treasures are displayed, the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and Alexander Nevski Crypt. Evening at leisure to relax. Overnight. (B)

Day 3 / Monday / Sofia - Nis - Belgrade

After breakfast departure to Nis. On the route visit Studenica Monastery, one of the largest and richest Serb Orthodox monasteries. In 1986 UNESCO included Studenica Monastery on the list of World Heritage. In the late afternoon, arrival at Belgrade. Enjoy dinner with local live music in a typical national restaurant in the old bohemian quarter of Skadarlija. Overnight. (B,D)

Day 4 / Tuesday / Belgrade

Your morning sightseeing tour includes the city's main attractions: the imposing Kalemegdan Fortress dramatically situated at the joining of the Sava and Danube Rivers; the Republic Square and Knez Mihajlova street; Saint Sava Temple, the largest Orthodox Church in the city, and Tito's Memorial. (B)

Day 5 / Wednesday / Belgrade - Timisoara - Hunedoara - Sibiu

After breakfast departure to Sibiu. A short visit of Timisoara, the city where Romanian revolution started in 1989. Lunch en route is included. On the way to Sibiu, we will visit the fortress of Hunedoara, that became the castle of the most pre-eminent king of the medieval - Matia Corvin. The monument has a special glamour due to its different construction styles, the presence of military and civil innovations as well as for the impetuous court life that animated it for more than 400 years. Arrival to Sibiu and accommodation with dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 6 / Thursday / Sibiu - Sighisoara - Brasov

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Sibiu, once the richest town in Transylvania. During the tour you will see the Huet Square, the Large Square, the Evangelical Cathedral, the Liars' Bridge and others. Continue towards Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval city in South-Eastern Europe, for sightseeing tour including entrance to the famous Clock Tower Museum. Continue to Brasov, walking tour of Brasov including the visit of the First Romanian School with an impressive collection of rare books. Accommodation and dinner in a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 7 / Friday / Brasov - Bucharest

Following breakfast departure towards Bran. Visit of the Bran Castle made famous by Bram Stoker's novel as the residence of the vampire count, Dracula. Continue to Bucharest and stop in Peles Castle built as the summer residence of King Carol I. Afterwards continue to the 17th century Sinaia Monastery and to Bucharest. After arrival accommodation at your hotel and dinner. (B,D)

Day 8 / Saturday / Bucharest

Get acquainted with the Romanian capital, once nicknamed "Little Paris". During the tour you will visit the Parliament Palace, the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon and the National Treasure. Listen how the Romanian people finally succeeded to topple the last communist dictator in eastern Europe in the Revolution Square. Your tour will bring you also to the Romanian Athenaeum, the Opera House, the the National Military Club, the Military Academy, Triumphal Arch and The Village Museum. Farewell dinner with folklore show. (B,D)

Day 9 / Sunday / Bucharest

After breakfast you have some time at leisure until the departure transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
