Canary Islands - The Fortunate Islands
Located in the blue and refreshing waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the Canary Islands display all of the magic of an archipelago that is unique throughout the world for its diversity and subtropical richness; there is an entire universe to be enjoyed in a spring-like climate that lasts twelve months of the year.
Gran Canaria enjoys an average annual temperatures that fluctuate between 18 ºC and 25 ºC. The sea is equally as warm with temperatures fluctuating between 18 ºC in the winter months and 22 ºC during the rest of the year.
Madeira
The island is 500 kms from the African coast and 1000 kms from the European continent, which is the equivalent of a 1 hour 30 minute flight from Lisbon. The archipelago, discovered by the Portuguese in 1418, is made up of the islands of Madeira, Porto Santo and the uninhabited islands of Selvagens and Desertas.
Thanks to their excellent geographical location and mountainous relief, these islands have surprisingly balmy weather, with moderate humidity and pleasant average temperatures of 25ºC in the summer and 17ºC in the winter. The sea temperature is also very mild, thanks to the influence of the warm Gulf Stream, averaging 22ºC in the summer and 18ºC in the winter.
